La Europahütte de Landshut es un refugio que es administrado conjuntamente por la sección de Landshut del DAV y la sección de Sterzing del CAI. El refugio representa una particularidad, ya que la frontera entre Austria e Italia atraviesa exactamente el salón.
El refugio se encuentra en el Tuxer Kamm de los Alpes de Zillertal, al sureste del Kraxentrager de 2999 m de altura, a una altitud de 2693 m s.n.m., justo debajo de la Friedrichshöhe de 2713 m s.n.m. Por lo tanto, se encuentra exactamente en la cresta principal de los Alpes, que aquí forma la frontera entre el estado federal austriaco de Tirol al norte y el Tirol del Sur italiano al sur. La localidad más cercana en Austria es Venn, una aldea del municipio de Gries am Brenner cerca del paso del Brennero, mientras que al sur se encuentra el valle de Pfitsch, que pertenece al municipio de Pfitsch.
