El castillo de Krippach se encuentra en la comuna de Absam, cerca de Hall en Tirol, en el distrito de Innsbruck Land en Tirol.
Around 995 d.C., Abzanes se menciona por primera vez en los libros de tradiciones de la diócesis de Brixen. En ese momento, el alto obispado de Augsburgo poseía la mayor parte de la propiedad en esta área. La propiedad de Augsburgo en el Tirol del Norte se administraba desde el Obristmajerhof, el actual castillo de Kippach. Alrededor de 1711, el castillo adquirió su actual forma barroca. Durante las obras de construcción a finales del siglo XX, también se descubrió material de construcción del siglo XIII.
