La Kunstberg es una colina en el centro histórico de Bruselas. La Kunstberg se encuentra en realidad en el Koudenberg, entre la Plaza del Rey y la ciudad baja, que incluye la Grand Place. La Kunstberg se llamó Hofberg entre los siglos XV y XVIII.
Originalmente, en este lugar se encontraba el muy antiguo barrio de San Rochus, que hasta el siglo XV también se conocía como el barrio judío. Entre los siglos XV y XVIII, la colina era conocida como 'Hofberg'. En esta época había varios palacios en la colina, como el Palacio de Nassau, el Palacio de Carlos de Lorena, el Palacio Granvelle y más arriba el Palacio en el Coudenberg.
