Wanzele es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Oriental y una submunicipalidad del municipio de Lede. La aldea está situada en la región de Dender.
Hasta el siglo XIII, Wanzele y Schellebelle pertenecieron a un mismo feudo. En 1537, el feudo de Wanzele fue vendido por el emperador Carlos V a Adriaan Bette de la casa Bette. Desde 1683 hasta principios de 1700, el poder sobre dos tercios fue ejercido por un tal Theodoor van Roosendaal de Amberes, pero hasta el final del siglo XVIII la familia Bette volvió a ser propietaria. El 14 de abril de 1759, el otro tercio del feudo, junto con la baronía de Ertbrugge, pasó a manos de Jan Papejans de Morkhoven.
