Enghien o Edingen es un pequeño pueblo en la frontera del idioma al suroeste de Halle. Desde el siglo XVII, el pueblo perteneció a la influyente familia de Arenberg. Esta hizo construir uno de los parques más hermosos de Europa alrededor de su castillo. Del castillo solo queda la torre de la capilla del castillo del siglo XII. Pero todavía se puede pasear por el hermoso parque, incluyendo un pequeño pabellón chino del siglo XVIII.
Enghien fue un centro del arte de la tapicería entre los siglos XV y XVIII. Algunos hermosos tapices de esa época se pueden admirar en el Musée de la Tapisserie. Está alojado en el Maison de Jonathas, una casa de señores del siglo XVI construida alrededor de un donjon románico del siglo XII.
