En 1466, los habitantes de Dinant fueron arrojados de a dos al Mosa como medida de castigo por Carlos el Temerario, el duque de Borgoña. Esto ocurrió después de que conquistara la ciudad y quisiera vengarse de las ofensas que había sufrido. Aproximadamente 800 ciudadanos fueron atados de a dos y empujados al Mosa.
Cuando intentaron escalar las orillas río abajo cerca de Bouvignes, los habitantes de Bouvignes los empujaron de nuevo al Mosa.
