El centro de visitantes De Klapekster se ubica en la antigua granja de vagabundos, en el corazón de Wortel-Kolonie. En el museo Jan Spannenburg - un homenaje a uno de los pioneros de la conservación de la naturaleza en los Noorderkempen - aprenderás más sobre la fascinante historia del dominio y las numerosas áreas naturales en la región fronteriza. Se llevan a cabo regularmente interesantes exposiciones temáticas. De Klapekster es una base ideal para tu paseo a pie o en bicicleta por el dominio. Allí encontrarás folletos sobre las rutas señalizadas (3 o 11 km) y podrás disfrutar de una bebida después de tu excursión. Los paquetes educativos son muy originales: desde una búsqueda familiar de las viviendas de aves, mamíferos y anfibios hasta una excursión con una mochila llena de material para investigar la naturaleza.
