Alden Biesen impresiona. Lo que ves es un inmenso castillo fortificado, el más grande de su tipo en Bélgica, rodeado de un espléndido dominio. El jardín de la calle es tan geométrico como un jardín francés puede ser. Al fondo se encuentra un jardín inglés, y hay huertos. El complejo del castillo incluye varias torres, una granja, un hospital, una naranjería y un alojamiento para huéspedes. Detrás de la puerta de entrada a la izquierda se esconde un café-restaurante, con una agradable terraza exterior. Es un lugar encantador para sentarse y los platos son bastante buenos.
