Alden Biesen fait impression. Ce que vous voyez est un immense château fortifié, le plus grand de son genre en Belgique, entouré d'un magnifique domaine. Le jardin côté rue est aussi géométrique qu'un jardin français peut l'être. À l'arrière se trouve un jardin anglais, et il y a des vergers. Le complexe château comprend plusieurs tours hexagonales, une ferme, un hôpital, une orangerie et un hébergement pour les invités. Derrière le portail d'entrée à gauche se cache un café-restaurant, avec une terrasse extérieure particulièrement agréable. Il fait bon s'y asseoir, et les plats sont très satisfaisants.
Chers compatriotes, ceci est le centre culturel de la Communauté flamande. Il sert en pratique de centre de réunion et d'hébergement pour colloques et séminaires. Des expositions thématiques sont régulièrement organisées.
