Descripción: El museo fue fundado en 1828, bajo el dominio holandés. Hoy en día es el más antiguo del país que está accesible al público. En 1839, el museo se alojó en la antigua cervecería de la abadía de St-Martin, con arquitectura neoclásica, y adquirió el primer elefante en Bélgica. Las piezas más espectaculares se exhiben en la galería 'Renard': el cangrejo más grande del mundo, una concha de 130 kg, un dragón de Komodo, aves del paraíso, los musk ox, el híppopotamo pigmeo... No tocar. En el Vivarium, los caimanes de China están acompañados de orquídeas plantadas. También encontrará acuarios con peces globo y peces que generan campos eléctricos. No olvide echar un vistazo a las tarántulas, serpientes, camaleones o cangrejos arlequín,...
