Cuando Hoeke, que es un distrito de la ciudad de Damme, era el punto neurálgico del comercio alemán en el siglo XIII, se construyó la auténtica iglesia de San Pedro en las cadenas. Esta pintoresca y pequeña iglesia de una nave aún tiene una bóveda de cañón. Cuando hace buen tiempo, la iglesia se abre al público.
