¡En el primer fin de semana de mayo, Munte está habitado por gigantes! A la cabeza están Tío Miele, Tía Nitte y su descendencia, surgidos de las comedias de Henri Van Daele y Romain De Coninck. Y también 'el Muntenaar', la ampliación de la estatuilla en la calle Torrekens (hecha en 1977), está presente. El número de gigantes creció visiblemente. En 1955, Tío Miele comenzó solo, ahora es una familia próspera, especialmente gracias a la gran celebración de 1000 años de Munte en 1990. ¡Muchos municipios de la región también envían sus gigantes a Munte ese día!
