Au premier week-end de mai, Munte est peuplé de géants ! En tête, l'oncle Miele, la tante Nitte et leur descendance, issus des comédies de Henri Van Daele et Romain De Coninck. Et aussi 'le Muntenaar', l'agrandissement de la petite statue dans la rue Torrekens (fabriquée en 1977), est présent. Le nombre de géants a considérablement augmenté. En 1955, l'oncle Miele a commencé seul, maintenant c'est une famille florissante, surtout grâce à la grande célébration des 1000 ans de Munte en 1990. De nombreuses communes de la région envoient également leurs géants à Munte ce jour-là !
