Aartrijke es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Occidental. Aartrijke era un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977 y desde entonces es una parte del municipio de Zedelgem. Un habitante de Aartrijke se llama Aartrijkenaar. Hallazgos arqueológicos atestiguan la ocupación de la región en el neopaleolítico. Fotografías aéreas muestran estructuras circulares que datan de la Edad del Bronce y la temprana Edad del Hierro. El nombre Aartrijke tiene un origen romano, ya que pasaban carreteras romanas por Aartrijke y también se encontraron monedas y cerámica. Las carreteras eran divercula, siendo la actual Zeeweg y la actual Steenstraat.
