Ligney es una aldea en la provincia belga de Lieja y un distrito del municipio de Geer. Fue un municipio independiente hasta que se incorporó al municipio de Geer durante la fusión de 1977.
Ligney se encuentra en Droog-Haspengouw, al sureste del núcleo del pueblo de Geer. El Jeker forma el límite norte del distrito, que tiene una forma alargada en dirección norte-sur, y la antigua vía romana de Tongeren a Bavay forma el límite sur. El núcleo del pueblo de Ligney, que se encuentra justo al sur del Jeker en el camino de Omal a Geer, se conecta con el de Darion. Ligney es una aldea agrícola con especial énfasis en la agricultura de secano y el cultivo de frutas. La aldea no tiene iglesia y pertenece eclesiásticamente a la parroquia de Darion.
