Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver es una aldea en la provincia belga de Amberes y es una parte del municipio de Sint-Katelijne-Waver. Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977. El nombre Waver se menciona por primera vez en un documento de 1008, en el que el rey alemán Enrique II renuncia a sus derechos de caza en el bosque de Waver, que se situaba entre el Nete y el Dijle. En el siglo XI, el bosque pertenecía al ducado de Brabante y a la antigua diócesis de Camerino. La primera mención conocida de la parroquia Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver, “sanctam Mariam in Wavera”, data de 1266. La aldea era propiedad de la familia Berthout y formaba parte de la Tierra de Mechelen.
