Las comunas de Baardegem, Meldert, Moorsel y Herdersem conforman juntas la región llamada "Faluintjes". Este nombre se deriva de la zona natural homónima, que se extiende desde la abadía de Affligem hasta Moorsel. El último fin de semana completo de julio, las comunas de Faluintjes organizan por turno la fiesta de la cosecha "De Pikkeling". Esta fiesta popular atrae cada año a miles de visitantes y les hace descubrir un folclore local y extranjero, demostraciones de cosechadoras y antiguos rituales de recolección, música tradicional y la gastronomía local.
