Central en el dominio de aproximadamente 100 hectáreas se encuentran una mansión de 1857 y una granja con un núcleo del siglo XVII, que en 1869 pasaron a ser propiedad de la familia Vroonen. Se realizaron la creación de un jardín inglés, un estanque y caminos. El 2 de abril de 1942, se inauguró un hogar de habla neerlandesa para niños bajo el nombre 'Tehuis Rulot', nombrado así en honor a Narcisse Rulot, un entonces director general de la NMBS. El ocupante alemán cerró el hogar el 20 de mayo de 1944 y reclamó el castillo. En 1953, la ciudad de Hasselt compró el dominio, que fue ocupado durante un tiempo por hermanas trapenses. A partir de 1975, el dominio recibió un nuevo destino como granja infantil.
