En el bosque de Koekelare se encuentra un arboreto de 8 hectáreas. En el bosque crecen numerosos árboles monumentales. Se cultivan muchas especies de árboles y arbustos. ¡Algunos pinos de Koekelare ya tienen 126 años! El bosque de Koekelare cuenta con un sendero de 4,5 km y es de acceso libre para los senderistas. Junto al bosque hay un gran parque de juegos para los más pequeños y los niños un poco mayores.
