El resistente Youra Livschitz fue abatido aquí en el Campo Nacional de Tiro el 17 de febrero de 1944. Tenía apenas 26 años. Fue uno de los tres jóvenes resistentes que el 19 de abril de 1943 detuvieron el tren del vigésimo convoy. Ese convoy transportaba en ese momento a 1.631 judíos del campo de Dossin en Malinas a Auschwitz y fue detenido cerca de Boortmeerbeek. En total, 231 judíos pudieron escapar. De ellos, noventa deportados fueron capturados nuevamente y enviados en un transporte posterior, 26 personas fueron asesinadas durante su fuga y 115 deportados lograron escapar.
