Aquí, al borde del bosque, se estableció en 1905 un grupo de mejoradores del mundo de la colonia anarquista-comunista L'Experience. Esto debería ser el inicio de una sociedad libertaria del siglo XX. La organización estaba vinculada a la GCL o Grupo Comunista Libertario, fundado por Georges Thonar, fundador del Partido Obrero Belga.
