El cráter Spanbroekmolen, también conocido como "Estanque de la Paz", es el cráter de minas más grande e impresionante de todo el Westhoek. El cráter se formó por la explosión de minas profundas durante la Batalla de las Minas de 1917, y ahora ha dado lugar a un estanque de 12 metros de profundidad. El "Estanque de la Paz" es un rincón pacífico de naturaleza en el paisaje ondulado de Heuvelland.
Con miras a la conmemoración prevista entre 2014 y 2018, se habilitará pronto un sendero circular para poder visitar tanto el Estanque de la Paz como los cementerios británicos cercanos, a saber, el Cementerio de Lone Tree y el Cementerio de Spanbroekmolen.
