Les Abannets
La meseta de « Les Abannets » fue completamente desmadrada para abastecer a los hornos de hierro locales con enormes cantidades de carbón, ya que sin esto no podían funcionar. Se talaron casi todos los árboles y las ovejas y cabras se alimentan de los brotes jóvenes de arbustos y árboles pequeños. Para restaurar el bosque a un estado más decente, el Príncipe Obispo de Lieja, que en ese momento tenía el poder sobre esta región, prohibió a los habitantes dejar pastar a los animales en esta colina. Por lo tanto, el nombre "Abannets" probablemente proviene de "bannir", que significa prohibir.
