Les Abannets
Le plateau des « Les Abannets » a été complètement déboisé pour fournir aux forges locales d'énormes quantités de charbon de bois, car sans cela, elles ne pouvaient pas fonctionner. On a abattu presque tous les arbres et les moutons et les chèvres mangent les jeunes pousses des petits arbres et des buissons. Pour restaurer un peu l'état de la forêt, le Prince-Évêque de Liège, qui avait alors le pouvoir sur cette région, a interdit aux habitants de faire paître des animaux sur cette colline. Le nom « Abannets » vient donc probablement de « bannir », l'interdiction.
