En el castillo residía un vasallo de la señoría de Heers. Desde 1396 fue propiedad de la familia Van Hinnisdael, desde 1604, por matrimonio, de Heusch van Zangereye, y en el cuarto cuarto del siglo XVII pasó a ser de De Moffart, y en el primer cuarto del siglo XVIII a la familia De Brouckmans.
Las partes más antiguas del actual complejo fueron construidas en estilo renacentista maaslandés del siglo XVII. Solo la granja y la torre en la esquina sureste se han conservado. El resto fue remodelado en estilo clasicista en el cuarto cuarto del siglo XVIII. Es un conjunto en forma de U, agrupado alrededor de un patio delantero que está cerrado con una reja. Junto al castillo hay una vivienda de conserje de mediados del siglo XIX y un establo.
