El Castillo de Zellaer, al norte del centro de Bonheiden, fue construido entre 1888 y 1892, por encargo del barón Gustavius Eugenius Leo Maria Gislainus de Vrière. Los planos fueron dibujados por el arquitecto Heugenbaarts de Malinas. Para la construcción del edificio se utilizó piedra arenisca blanca procedente de los fuertes demolidos de Vilvoorde. Los agricultores dependientes de Zellaer tuvieron que transportar el material con caballos y carros. La tradición sostiene que sería una copia reducida de un castillo en el Loira. Las pruebas al respecto aún no han aparecido. El castillo neogótico está rodeado por un foso y en el parque aún hay varias amplias zanjas. En el edificio se encuentra actualmente un centro de reflexión.
