Campo de lino
La leyenda cuenta que alrededor de 1230, la santa Isabel de Hungría fue invitada en un sueño a viajar a Brabante. Debe construir allí una iglesia para Nuestra Señora. ¿Pero dónde en Brabante? Una segunda visión señala un campo de lino donde se construyó la iglesia.
Imagen milagrosa
En el coro alto se exhibe la imagen milagrosa de Nuestra Señora de Alsemberg. La duquesa Sofía donó la imagen de gracia entre 1239 y 1242. La iglesia sigue siendo un lugar de peregrinación muy visitado.
