En un antiguo sitio de fábrica se inauguró un nuevo complejo comercial en 1995. Con material recuperado se fabricó la monumental estatua de Ros Beiaard. El caballo saltarin, con los cuatro Heemskinderen a lomos, fue realizado de una manera modernamente estilizada y se presentó como un ‘regalo para la población de Dendermonde’.
La estatua de Ros Beiaard, de doce metros de largo y siete metros de alto, fue diseñada por la arquitecta de interiores Klaar Teurrekens y el arquitecto Fernand Lancksweerd. El armazón fue ensamblado bajo la dirección de Alfons De Maeseneir utilizando material recuperado procedente de la antigua empresa Trefil-Arbed. El conjunto fue revestido con chapa de acero.
El montaje y la conformación fueron llevados a cabo con éxito por dos empleados de Boelwerf: el soldador Hugo Swenne y el montador Marc Van Poeck. La estatua pesa dos toneladas.
