La Villa Drijgoten fue construida inicialmente en 1903 en estilo cabaña, pero fue parcialmente convertida en piedra en la década de 1940. El diseño del jardín conservado, que integra la diferencia de altura natural y el resto de la antigua ensenada del Escalda, es ejemplar de un paisaje del principio del siglo XX con un estanque caprichoso y una imagen pintoresca. El concepto del puente decorativamente trabajado de 40 metros de largo en hormigón armado como elemento de conexión determinante entre la villa y el jardín más bajo es raro de encontrar.
