La vista con el enorme tilo y la pequeña capilla contra el fondo del paisaje abierto de campos es bien conocida. En este paisaje, es el objeto más determinante en la imagen. El lugar ofrece una imagen ideal y típica de la región, que se ve reforzada por los caminos rurales que convergen en la encrucijada. El árbol de Meldert es el tilo de invierno más alto, más grueso y más antiguo de la amplia región y probablemente de toda la provincia. Tiene una hermosa forma de crecimiento representativa. La vista del entorno inmediato apenas ha cambiado en los últimos 200 años. Dos caminos de la encrucijada desaparecieron y cuatro caminos del cruce se pavimentaron con adoquines.
