Ya en el siglo XI, los señores feudales habitaban el entonces “Hof Ten Driesche”. En el siglo XVI, el caballero Evrard de Coutereau transformó la casa señorial en un verdadero castillo con puerta y puente levadizo. Desde entonces, el castillo ha sabido conservar su aspecto y fue clasificado en 1978.
El castillo ha estado en manos de la familia van der Straten Waillet desde principios del siglo XX. El castillo está habitado y, por lo tanto, no es de acceso libre. Con la guía de un acompañante, puedes visitar el parque del castillo y la 'Ronde Bouw', una construcción excepcional. La ruta señalizada Steenovenpad te lleva a este castillo.
