En 1732 se realizó la primera iglesia. El arquitecto fue Paul Merckaert de Bruselas. En 1877 se decidió ampliar la iglesia. La remodelación se completó en 1888. La iglesia de San Amando, junto con den Dries, fue clasificada como patrimonio protegido en 1956. La restauración de la iglesia se completó en 2002.
