El terril largo es una de las colinas que son el resultado del vertido de la parte no utilizable del mineral de hierro. Tiene 50 metros más que el paisaje circundante y ofrece una vista magnífica de las Altas Kempen.
Tienes vistas al terril gemelo: este consiste en dos colinas y es 10 metros más alto que el terril largo.
También ves el terril rojo. Este también se conoce como el ‘Vesubio’ de Eisden. Contiene aún bastante carbón porque el proceso de separación al comienzo de la explotación de la mina no estaba bien ajustado. Este carbón puede incendiarse espontáneamente, lo que hace que la temperatura en el interior del terril pueda alcanzar cientos de grados y que en clima frío se vea una nube de humo.
