En el lenguaje popular también se le llama ‘daa keirk'. Cuando en 1217 se funda la parroquia de San Nicolás, se construye en este lugar la primera iglesia. También es la más antigua de la ciudad y, además, la iglesia decanal. Fue nombrada en honor a San Nicolás de Myra, el santo patrón de los comerciantes. La iglesia sobrevivió a la Iconoclasia en 1566 y a un gran incendio en 1690. Presta especial atención a las hermosas vidrieras tanto por dentro como por fuera.
No olvides visitar el tesoro de la iglesia en la cripta.
La iglesia es de acceso público cada mañana.
