El asedio de Ath en los Países Bajos Austríacos por un ejército francés bajo el mando de Mauricio de Sajonia tuvo lugar en septiembre/octubre de 1745. En la campaña de 1744, el mariscal Mauricio de Sajonia recibió la orden de romper el cinturón de fortificaciones neerlandesas en Flandes con un ejército de 90,000 hombres; el objetivo era conquistar Tournai, Gante, Brujas, Ath y Mons. En junio de 1745, Tournai se rindió, asegurando así el cruce por el Escalda. Después, cayeron Gante el 15 de julio, Oudenaarde, Dendermonde, Ostende y Nieuport.
