El Flanco Sur se encuentra alrededor del estadio Begijnhof detrás de Den Blank. Es una zona recreativa sostenible para niños, patinadores, futbolistas, caminantes, etc. Los embalses de agua construidos evitan inundaciones en el centro de Overijse. También se han plantado numerosos árboles nuevos, se han colocado mesas de picnic y se han construido senderos. Un proyecto exitoso del municipio de Overijse.
