El estanque en el Maloupark es visitado por muchas aves acuáticas, incluyendo la impresionante oca canadiense, cuya envergadura puede alcanzar hasta 180 cm en algunos individuos. Es característico su color negro en el pico, el cuello y la cabeza, así como el color blanco de las mejillas y la garganta. Como su nombre indica, la oca canadiense es nativa de América del Norte, donde encuentra sus áreas de invernada y cría. Su presencia aquí y en otros lugares de Europa Occidental no se debe a migraciones desde el continente americano, sino a introducciones realizadas por humanos en el siglo XVIII en Inglaterra y en el siglo XX en diez países más. La oca canadiense se ha adaptado perfectamente a estas nuevas áreas, donde las poblaciones desde entonces han crecido enormemente.
