En la segunda fuente, puedes admirar en mayo y junio la flor amarilla del lirio de pantano, símbolo de la Región de Bruselas, cuyas largas hojas tienen forma de espada. En el mismo lugar, al inicio de la primavera, aparecen las flores del gran botón de oro. A diferencia de la mayoría de las plantas, las anchas hojas (que recuerdan al ruibarbo) se desarrollan después de la floración. Estas dos plantas crecen en ambientes húmedos, a menudo al borde de arroyos y estanques.
