En la plaza Carlos Dierickx nos detenemos en el Kwintie de piedra arenisca del siglo XVI, integrado a la derecha en una reconstrucción de un tribunal feudal, una antigua forma de justicia que se llevaban a cabo al aire libre. En el centro se encuentra el escudo de armas de San Bavón. San Martín de Asper estaba bajo el patrocinio de la abadía de San Bavón de Gante. Carlos Dierickx, casi medio siglo alcalde de Asper, y Gavere tras la fusión, tiene su estatua en su plaza.
