El Instituto Sint-Leonardus fue originalmente un sanatorio para mujeres enfermeras que necesitaban descanso. Más tarde se convirtió en un centro de atención residencial.
El edificio neogótico data de 1902 y tiene un total de 46 habitaciones, seis de las cuales sirvieron como apartamentos de servicio. También incluye una casa para el director que debe ser renovada y una antigua escuela. La superficie total cubre 12,000 metros cuadrados, de los cuales 3,550 metros cuadrados son espacios habitables.
Las Hermanas de la Misericordia Agnes, Yvonne y Lutgard concluirán en agosto de 2020 un período de ciento veinte años en el que se dedicaron a la educación y el cuidado.
En 2022 el edificio todavía estaba a la venta.
