Este túnel peatonal pasa por debajo de la vía férrea 43 . Conecta la Route du Thier con la Route Durbuy.
El 25 de julio de 1865 se inauguró la línea ferroviaria 43 entre Melreux y Marloie y un año más tarde, el 1 de agosto de 1866, se inauguró la línea entre Angleur y Melreux. En Melreux se encuentra la estación Hotton-Melreux con conexión a Liège-Guillemins. La duración de la visita es de aproximadamente 1 hora.
