Este castillo está ubicado en Lakebossen.
"Raepen" no se refiere a la verdura, pero es un error ortográfico de "paepen" o monjes. Después de todo, esta área forestal perteneció una vez al Ter Duinendabdij de Brujas.
En 1800 , se construyó allí un pequeño castillo de estilo Imperio . En 1925 el castillo se convirtió en el castillo neoclásico que es hoy.
La fachada frontal tiene una entrada con un balcón sostenido por cuatro columnas.
El plan del parque probablemente se completó en 1840 . Posteriormente, en el siglo XIX, el parque fue modificado con otros elementos a modo de paisaje con caminos sinuosos y estanques. La estructura del parque también se modificó en el siglo XX.
