A unos 600 metros del cortafuegos conocido como "coupe-feu du tir" (cortafuegos) se encuentra el objetivo de los 1000 metros. A diferencia de los otros objetivos, este es claramente visible desde el sendero.
En Spa existía un gran campo de tiro en el que ya en 1907 52 tiradores podían dar rienda suelta a su pasión en un complejo de enormes dianas de acero tipo Bremer.
Las instalaciones eran adecuadas para disparar armas a distancias de entre 12 y 1.000 metros .
