El túnel de cumbre de Furka es un túnel ferroviario suizo de 1874 m de longitud. Fue completado en 1925 y conecta las estaciones de Muttbach y Furka del Ferrocarril de Vapor Furka-Bergstrecke, anteriormente Ferrocarril Furka-Oberalp, y con 2160 m sobre el nivel del mar es el mayor paso alpino de Suiza.
Hasta la inauguración del túnel base de Furka el 25 de junio de 1982, el entonces Ferrocarril Furka-Oberalp operaba con tres períodos de horario. El horario de verano correspondía al horario europeo de la época. El horario de invierno se dividió en un horario de otoño e invierno en la FO, ya que sólo se pudo continuar con el servicio a través de Furka hasta mediados de octubre.
