De Furka-scheiteltunnel is een 1874 meter lange Zwitserse spoorwegtunnel. Hij werd in 1925 voltooid en verbindt de haltes Muttbach en Furka van de stoomtrein Furka-Bergstrecke, voorheen Furka-Oberalp-Bahn, en is met 2160 m boven zeeniveau de hoogste Alp doorsteek van Zwitserland.
Tot de opening van de Furka-basis tunnel op 25 juni 1982 reed de toenmalige Furka-Oberalp-Bahn met drie dienstregelingperiodes. De zomerdienstregeling kwam overeen met de toenmalige Europese dienstregeling. De winterdienstregeling werd bij de FO verdeeld in een herfst- en winterdienstregeling, omdat men alleen tot medio oktober de exploitatie over de Furka kon voortzetten.
