Doubrava se llamaba antes Grün y hoy es un distrito incorporado a la ciudad de Aš en el distrito de Cheb.
La familia von Zedtwitz, que ya era propietaria de amplias tierras en la región de Aš, adquirió la propiedad de la familia von Neuberg. Los inicios del castillo se remontan a una residencia de la familia von Zedtwitz, que alrededor de 1600 tenía inicialmente el carácter de una finca agrícola. En 1783 fue remodelado en estilo neogótico. El escudo sobre la entrada con el año 1760 fue tomado del castillo de Kopaniny. El castillo sirvió durante un tiempo como restaurante, pero se encuentra cerrado al menos desde 2016. La casa y la propiedad circundante parecen descuidadas y deterioradas. A veces, dos caballos pastan alrededor de la casa.
