Doubrava heette vroeger Grün en is vandaag de dag als wijk opgenomen in de stad Aš in het district Cheb.
De familie van Zedtwitz, die in het Ascher Ländchen al uitgebreid onroerend goed bezat, verwierf het bezit van de familie van Neuberg. De oorsprong van het kasteel gaat terug op een herenhuis van de familie van Zedtwitz, dat rond 1600 aanvankelijk de kenmerken van een landbouwbedrijf had. In 1783 werd het in neogotische stijl verbouwd. Het wapen boven de ingang met het jaartal 1760 werd van het kasteel Kopaniny overgenomen. Het kasteel diende een tijd als restaurant, maar dit is naar het schijnt al minstens sinds 2016 gesloten. Het huis en het omliggende terrein lijken verwaarloosd en beschadigd. Soms grazen er twee paarden rondom het huis.
