El distrito gubernamental de Lüneburg fue un distrito gubernamental de los estados de Prusia y Baja Sajonia desde 1885 hasta 2004.
La historia del distrito gubernamental de Lüneburg se remonta a 1885, cuando el antiguo reino de Hannover, que se había convertido en prusiano en 1866, fue dividido en distritos gubernamentales como provincia prusiana de Hannover. El modelo fueron los distritos gubernamentales ya establecidos en otras provincias prusianas en 1815/16. El distrito gubernamental de Lüneburg se formó a partir de la Landdrostei Lüneburg, que existía desde 1823.
