Bad Windsheim es una ciudad situada a orillas del Aisch en el distrito de Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim. Se encuentra al oeste de Nuremberg. El balneario y lugar de manantiales para algunas empresas de aguas minerales tiene un carácter rural.
Windsheim ha sido desde la época de los Hohenstaufen una ciudad imperial autónoma en el Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico, lo que se refleja en el escudo de la ciudad. El título de "Bad" fue otorgado a Windsheim en 1961.
