Pechau es un distrito de Magdeburgo en Sajonia-Anhalt con 540 habitantes en una superficie de 7,611 km². La localidad fue mencionada por primera vez en un documento en el año 948.
Pechau se encuentra al este del Elba, en el borde de Magdeburgo, entre el Elba, Ehle, el viejo Elba, Kreuzhorst y Klus; directamente al lado del canal de desvío del Elba y el lago Pechauer. La localidad se sitúa en la llanura del Elba, a unos cinco kilómetros de distancia entre Magdeburgo y Schönebeck, en la carretera del distrito K1227.
